Kale, also known as leaf peony. The biennial herb is an easy-to-plant, fast-growing, colorful foliage plant. Commonly used in parks, streets, and flower beds, the kale is trimmed and various beautiful patterns are formed. The color sense is very prominent. The long viewing period (from November to March of the following year) is very good. Its leaf color is diverse, with light red, purple, white, yellow, etc., is the best for potted foliage.
Kale is hardy, sunny and fertile. Cultivation methods include open fields and potted plants, sandy loam soil. Usually sowed from mid-July to late August, the seeding area needs to have fine soil particles, and the ground should be leveled. Before the planting, the whole land should be leveled evenly, and then the water should be poured. After the seeds are sprinkled, they shall be covered with sieved soil. On top, cover with grass or shade nets, and keep the soil moist until it emerges. When 50% of the seedlings emerged, the cover was removed in the evening. After the emergence of the leaves, the seedlings could be transplanted in groups of 3 to 4 pieces. The distance between the seedlings was about 20 cm, and the basal fertilizer (compound fertilizer or household fertilizer) was applied to the seedbeds. After the seedlings are transplanted and grown to 7-8 leaves, they can be colonized. Plant spacing is 40--45cm, and pots can be directly planted in pots. After planting, pour enough water and water once every 7-8 days. It is generally transplanted to flower beds or flower pots in the middle or late October. Kale planted in flowerpots is usually watered once a day, keeping the potted soil dry and wet.
