How to reduce the resistance of pests to biological pesticides

Pests will produce resistance under long-term chemical pesticide control conditions, and irrational use of biological pesticides will also produce drug resistance. After a long period of field application and laboratory tests, the authors observed that the bacterial biological pesticide Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) is also susceptible to resistance, in which the drug resistance of diamondback moth is as much as 540 times, that of cabbage is 148 times, and that of cotton bollworm is 102 times.

With the increasing use and frequency of biological pesticides, pest resistance to biological pesticides will gradually emerge. In addition to their own genetic and biological characteristics, the development of pest resistance to biological pesticides, but also unreasonable use of methods also lead to a direct rise in resistance. Therefore, in order to delay the resistance of insect pests to biological pesticides, we must first consider that biological pesticides are omnipotent, blindly pursuing the use of biological pesticides, and cannot use it instead of other pesticides. If the use of biological pesticides for 8-9 times a year in vegetable production, it is easy to create favorable conditions for the resistance of diamondback moth and cabbage caterpillars.

How to reduce the resistance of insect pests to biological pesticide Bt. The author believes that the following points should be noted:

First, in rainy areas, the first quarter is allowed to use about twice; in dry areas (average annual rainfall is about 600 milliliters, the highest year is 800 milliliters, and the minimum year is 300 milliliters), and one ripening is appropriate. For the control of vegetable diamondback moth, Bt pesticides were used about 2 times in spring, once in summer, and twice in autumn. More than 2 times of poor control effect, other biological pesticides must be replaced, and low-toxic chemical pesticides should be used when necessary.

2. Microbial insecticides and plant-based pesticides are mainly used to prevent and control pests by the action of stomach poisons. The temperature, humidity, light, weather and water conditions are relatively strict when used. For example, the best control temperature in Jiangsu Bt is 25-34 degrees Celsius, the fungus Beauveria bassiana is about 25 degrees Celsius, and the Beauveria bassiana strains are 23-25 degrees Celsius. In addition, the humidity, sunshine, and application time must also be strictly controlled.

Third, pests produce resistance to biological pesticides, and can be mixed with some chemical pesticides. Such as low-toxicity ester chemical pesticides, in order to improve its control effect, but avoid mixing with organic phosphorus pesticides.

IV. When Bt pesticides are stored in liquid form, the pH is adjusted to about 4.6.

5. Multifunctional oxidase inhibitors can be added as bioprotective agents, which can improve drug efficacy, reduce dosage, and delay the development of resistance.

Sixth, comprehensive prevention and control measures should be adopted to combine biological, physical, agricultural and chemical prevention and control, and reasonably control the use of pesticides and the number of times in order to maintain the production safety of agricultural products.
