Bulk edible oils, which are packed in large tanks and weighed directly by merchants, have already withdrawn from the Beijing market.

Since yesterday, the Inspectorate of the State Council’s Food Safety Commission has conducted a two-day inspection of food safety in Beijing. Zhang Zhikuan, director of the city's food office, introduced that in the first half of this year, the city's food safety sampling rate was 97.36%, and the qualified rate of rice, wheat flour, edible vegetable oil, vegetables, pork, and soy products reached 98.23%.

According to the person in charge of the City Food Office, because of the problems with labeling of bulk edible oils and the need to obtain permission to sort edible oils, it was banned.

The oil tanks used to store bulk oil have been removed. The person in charge of the Yuquan Road grain and oil wholesale market in Fairview Land said that as early as July, he received notification from the industry and commerce department that there were 10 edible oil merchants in the market. In September, the official demolition of oil tanks began, and now only barrels of individually packaged cooking oil are sold. . The maximum amount of these barreled oils is 20 liters. The name of the plant, the address of the factory, and the contact information are required on the outer packaging to establish the purchase accounts and bills in order to identify the source of edible oil.
