Endotoxin is a component of Lipopolysaccharides (LPS), a cell membrane of Gram-negative bacteria. Experimental procedure

Before the start of the experiment, the sample of the protein to be tested was taken out from the -70 ° C refrigerator and thawed in an ice bath. Then do the following.

  • Add 1 ml of protein suspension (1 to 5 mg of total protein) to a 1.5 ml centrifuge tube
  • Carefully remove 150 μl of YIJI Affinity Reagent (Reagent A) into a 1.5 mL centrifuge tube
  • Cover the lid and vortex for 15 seconds
  • Place it on a flat shaker and incubate at 4 ° C for 3 to 16 hours at 100 RPM
  • Place in a mini tabletop centrifuge for 5 minutes at a speed of 500g (or 2000RPM, eg eppendorf 5415D)
  • Carefully remove the supernatant into a new 1.5 ml centrifuge tube to avoid black granules
  • Immediately put in a -70 ° C refrigerator
