Maxim introduces integrated pulse sensor for pulse oximetry and heart rate monitoring

(NASDAQ: MXIM) today introduced the MAX30102, an integrated sensor module for pulse oximetry and heart rate monitoring, to help designers accelerate time-to-market for wearable health products. Wearable devices for vital sign monitoring are growing rapidly, and analog integration is at the heart of it. System-on-a-chip (SoC) and integrated modules quickly replace discrete designs. The MAX30102 integrates red and infrared LEDs to achieve oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate measurements by adjusting LED pulses.
