Piglet fixing nipples matters needing attention

Within 2 to 3 days after the piglet is born, all piglets are fixed with nipples. Fixing the nipple is the key to the development of a litter of piglets. The individuals in a herd and the mothers are mainly connected by olfactory sense. After the piglets are born, they rely on the sense of smell to find the nipples. After 3 days, they can fix the nipples and they will not be mistaken under any circumstances. Helping the piglets to fix the nipples is mainly based on natural selection, supplemented by individual adjustments, and different milk yields from different nipples, so that the weak piglets eat three pairs of nipples and the strong piglets eat three pairs of nipples. If a strong piglet eats three pairs, it will eat more and more, causing the overall development to be irregular. Fixing the nipples allows each piglet to have sucking milk, which is beneficial to the overall development of the breast. If some nipples do not have suckling milk, they will appear to be “used in waste,” and the breasts that suckle the piglets will develop well. Without breastfeeding, the breasts lose their function. Some colostrums can be collected and artificially fed to piglets that are weak and unable to suck milk. Colostrum is collected in about 60 ml, which can be used once by 3 to 4 piglets (about 15 ml of colostrum per head) and fed by gastric tubes. Each piglet should be fed 3 to 4 colostrums within 24 hours.
