The theme of China's World Sleep Day this year is "Healthy Sleep, Happy China." Wang Guoqiang said that although humans cannot sleep without sleep every day, sleep has not received due attention. Until recent years, sleep as a new cross-disciplinary research object began to receive global attention. The rate of personal sleep disorders in Chinese adults reached 38.2%, of which only 25.6% chose to go to hospital.

Wang Guoqiang said that with the rapid growth of China's economy and changes in the way of life of residents, not only AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis B and other infectious diseases threaten people's health and life safety, and the chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes caused by the aging of the population Non-communicable diseases also show an increasing trend, and the deaths of chronic diseases account for 85% of the total cause of death in China.

Research shows that sleep disorders can trigger many chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and rheumatism. Wang Guoqiang expressed that he must vigorously promote a healthy lifestyle, deepen the knowledge of sleep hygiene, improve the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases in China, and improve the overall health of residents.
