Several methods of seed treatment are described below:
1. Soaking seeds with warm soup: soak in seeds with warm water of 50-55°C for 10-15 minutes.

(4) Seed soaking with thiophanate-methyl 1000-fold solution or zein-zinc 1500-fold solution for 10-15 minutes to prevent seedling blight and damping-off from melon and eggplant vegetables.
(5) Soaking seeds with 40% formaldehyde for 30 minutes can prevent the occurrence of melon bacterial blight.
