According to foreign media reports, scientists have recently developed a blood test method that can measure how long you can live. This is one of the many blood testing programs in the world. Scientists are currently working on developing the best “life calculator” to quantify the age of human cells, not your “real age”.

Researchers at Yale University in the United States insist that their measurements provide the most accurate, practical, and easily interpretable results of all studies to date, as they can be applied to individual medical reports each year.

The study's author, Dr. Morgan Levine, a pathologist at Yale University, said her next research goal is to find the factors that cause cell aging so that doctors can extend their lives by adjusting their diet or exercising.

Most previous studies in the field used microscopic observations to analyze cell composition in depth to determine their molecular age. Dr. Levin has also used these types of tests, but this time she tried to observe blood glucose levels and other available test methods to achieve blood tests.

Dr. Levin explained that basically this is a physiological age measurement, not an age measurement at the molecular level. It shows us all the extracellular performance of the cells. She found that the latest method can predict people's longevity more accurately than molecular-level testing because it is actually capturing the aging process.

The latest blood test methods cover nine biomarkers, including white blood cell count and globular protein index. To determine which biomarkers are worth tracking, the Levine research team analyzed 42 indicators in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) large database, which lasted for several years and involved thousands of Americans.

Dr. Levine pointed out that the study was very effective. Many previous studies did not compare the effects of actual age mortality. There is no way to predict the mortality rate more accurately, so they put their own test methods. Compared with other methods, they found that their accuracy is very high.

She added that the advantage of this method is that many people's medical reports already cover the main indicators of the data to be examined, just enter your last physical examination report data, you can get the expected results.
