1, make prenatal preparations. Calculate the expected date of delivery. The farrowing room should be thoroughly disinfected in advance, and the mat should be cut short, and the delivery tools such as sacks, towels, scissors, disinfectant, iodine, and cotton wool should be prepared. Some sows give birth at night, and they should pay attention to assigning night shifts to work and be ready to take delivery.

2, the process of sows giving birth. When the sow is giving birth, it is usually lying on many sides. After several violent contractions and nuisances, the placenta ruptures, blood and amniotic fluid flow out, and then the piglets are produced. Usually one piglet is produced every 5-25 minutes, and the entire delivery process takes about 1-4 hours.

3, the production method of operation. When the piglet is produced, raise the piglet with both hands and immediately remove the mucus from the mouth of the piglet and around the nostrils to prevent the piglets from inhaling and causing asphyxia. Then use soft hay, then dry the mucus on the piglet with a towel or sack cloth, and then cut off the umbilical cord. When the umbilical cord is cut off, squeeze the blood in the umbilical cord several times in the direction of the abdomen, and then cut the umbilical cord with two hands at a distance of 4-5 cm from the abdomen of the piglet (usually do not cut it with scissors to avoid excessive bleeding). Disinfected with 5% iodine, the piglet was placed in the litter box.

4, sows dystocia treatment methods. During the delivery process, if the sow is responsible for a long period of time and the piglet is still not producing, and the sow suffers from symptoms such as difficulty in breathing and rapid heartbeat, it means that dystocia has occurred. Generally available oxytocin, 1 ml per 100 kg of body weight, an intramuscular injection, 20-30 minutes after injection can give birth. If urine production is not effective with drugs, surgical midwifery should be performed. Surgical midwifery should be first nail scissors, wash with soap, Su Su Shui, disinfect the arm, coated with lubricants, follow the sow dutiful intermittent, palms facing up, slowly put his hand into the birth canal, touch After the piglets, pull the piglets out slowly as the sow nurses blame them.
