Ten kinds of vegetables are not suitable for fertilization

1) Unripe farmyard manure and cake fat should not be used directly. Unfamiliar farmyard manure and cake manure contain many kinds of eggs and germs. They also produce large amounts of carbon dioxide and heat. Direct use can contaminate the soil, accelerate the evaporation of soil moisture, burn the roots of crops, and affect seed germination. The correct method of use is to first fully compost the farmyard manure and cake fat, and use it after high temperature disinfection or chemical treatment. 2) Fertilizers containing chlorine should not be used on saline or alkaline crops. The bogey crops include potatoes and watermelons. 3) Nitrogen fertilizers should not be applied shallowly or before watering. After nitrogen fertilizer is applied to the soil, it is generally converted into ammonium nitrogen, easily lost to water or volatilized by the effect of light and heat, losing its fertility. 4) Ammonium nitrogen fertilizer should not be mixed with alkaline fertilizers such as grass ash. 5) Nitrogen fertilizer should not be applied to legumes. The roots of leguminosae are all nitrogen-fixing rhizobia. Excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer will not only cause waste, but also affect the yield due to late-maturing glutinous rice. 6) Phosphate fertilizer should not be dispersively used. Phosphorus in phosphate fertilizers is easily absorbed and fixed by the soil. If fertilizers lose their effectiveness, they should be mixed and piled together for a period of time before being applied to the roots. 7) Fertilizers with higher phosphorus content should not be used for vegetables. The demand for phosphorus in vegetables is relatively small. 8) Potassium fertilizer should not be used in the late growth period. When there are symptoms of potassium deficiency, the growth is near the end of the period. At this time, the top dressing has no more effect, so potassium fertilizer should be applied to the seedling stage in advance, or used as a base fertilizer. 9) Rare earth fertilizers should not be applied directly to the soil. The use of rare earth fertilizers is relatively small. The correct method of application is to use rare earth fertilizers for seed dressing or for foliar spray applications. 10) It is not appropriate to add fertilization materials regardless of variety and growth period. Vegetables of different types and different growth stages have different needs for the types and quantities of fertilizers and should be treated differently.
